The Hahn Horticulture Garden is the perfect place to host your meeting, reception, anniversary celebration, bridal shower, or other special event! Please visit our Wedding Page for more information on hosting your wedding at the Garden.
A rental of the Hahn Horticulture Garden includes the use of the Peggy Lee Hahn Pavilion, Terrace, Tent Lawn, and other Garden spaces to host your event. You have the flexibility to utilize the caterer of your choice and they can work out of the pavilion prep-kitchen or setup an outdoor work space.
The Peggy Lee Hahn Pavilion can comfortably host about 48 people for a seated meal or 60+ for a reception style event. For larger events (over 50 people) we suggest renting a tent (up to 40’ x 60’) to place on our Tent Lawn and utilize the pavilion for staging and restrooms.
The Garden has entered a contract for the construction of a new 40'x70' open air structure that will be available for rental events. This means no more rental tents on the lawn! The exact completion date in 2024 is still being determined, stay tunded for more details.
Please review our Private Rentals Quick Facts for more detailed information about renting the pavilion, including pricing. Rental rates vary depending on the length of rental (four or eight hour rentals), amount of people, day of the week, and if you will be renting a tent.
Please email our Events Team to verify date availability hahngardenrentals@vt.edu
Please note that Event Insurance is required for all events not related to Virginia Tech.
All rental revenue goes directly into the garden’s daily operations fund. The money is used to purchase plants, materials, and equipment and pays for our hard-working student workers. Renting our facility helps keep the Garden growing and beautiful!
The Peggy Lee Hahn Garden Pavilion, completed June 9, 2006, offers a bright space for parties, meetings, retreats, memorial services and other special events. French doors open from the 660 sq. ft. multipurpose room to an ample paved terrace and the lawn beyond. The entire building is ADA compliant, including kitchen and restrooms. Front entrance and porch is "on grade" for easy access from surrounding area.
